About Venues for 75 Guests

Seventy-five guests is one of the most dynamic group sizes in NYC event planning. It is large enough to fill a room with genuine energy and conversation, yet intimate enough that the night feels personal and curated rather than chaotic. This collection brings together venues across Manhattan and Brooklyn that hit that sweet spot perfectly, from the moody Tribeca cocktail bar Little More with its 45-foot marble bar and Garden of Eden murals, to the Greek oasis Skinos tucked into the Financial District, to Velvet Brooklyn's exposed brick and disco ball energy in Williamsburg. Each space offers the kind of flexibility that makes 75 guests feel right at home, with sections that can be configured for flow between mingling, dining, and dancing. Whether you are planning a corporate reception, a milestone birthday, or a holiday party in 2026, this size group unlocks some of the most compelling private and semi-private configurations in the city. Josie Woods Pub in Greenwich Village brings a warm, classic pub feel with a main dining room built for exactly this crowd, while Kind Regards on the Lower East Side offers a downtown edge with a lounge upstairs and a full basement for late-night energy. The venues in this collection share a common strength: they are built to make a medium-large group feel like they own the room for the night.

Expert Tip

For a group of 75, pay close attention to venues that offer tiered sections rather than a single open floor. Little More in Tribeca is a standout here because the Entire Back Area Upstairs holds 65 guests privately, and you can pair it with additional sections to scale up, all with a minimum spend starting at just $500, making it one of the more accessible full-experience options downtown. Booking a venue with this kind of modular layout gives you the flexibility to expand or contract the footprint as your RSVP count shifts closer to the event date.

Venue Highlights

Little More

Little More's Tribeca space is tailor-made for 75 guests, with bookable sections like the Entire Back Area Upstairs seating up to 65 and the larger Entire Upstairs And Bar handling overflow, giving your group room to breathe without losing that dimly lit, intimate energy. The 45-foot marble bar and botanical-inspired cocktail program from former Apotheke mixologists mean your guests will have plenty to talk about all night.

Skinos

Skinos brings a transportive Greek oasis to the Financial District, where cherry blossom installations and a koi fish pond create a one-of-a-kind backdrop that makes 75 guests feel like an intimate gathering inside something truly spectacular. The semi-private and private sections scale perfectly for your group, and the modern Mediterranean menu elevates the experience well beyond a standard cocktail reception.

Velvet Brooklyn

Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg is a natural fit for 75 guests, offering the flexibility to split the crowd between the Velvet Room and the Main Bar or settle into the full venue's warm exposed brick and vintage chandelier atmosphere. With a Pioneer DDJ-SZ2 DJ controller, 20-inch disco ball, and full catering options already built in, the venue handles the heavy lifting so your party hits the ground running.

Kind Regards

Kind Regards on the Lower East Side gives 75 guests the rare combination of a laid-back upstairs lounge and a full downstairs that can transform into a proper dance floor and nightlife experience in the former Cake Shop space. The venue's open-late atmosphere and built-in audio setup make it a strong pick when you want your event to feel like a real NYC night out rather than a standard party rental.

Josie Woods Pub

Steps from Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, Josie Woods Pub has a Main Dining section that seats up to 70 guests, making it one of the most naturally sized options in this collection for a group of 75 without the space feeling cavernous or underutilized. The classic pub energy, pool tables, darts, and 14 HD TVs make it an effortlessly social space where guests spread out, mingle, and settle in for the long haul.

Venue Selection Guide

Your 2026 Planning Guide to Booking a Venue for 75 Guests in NYC

Choosing the Right Space for Your Group

Seventy-five guests is a genuinely exciting size to plan for in NYC because you have real options across neighborhoods and styles without being forced into a massive ballroom. Look for venues with sections that can flex around your group rather than one rigid room. For example, Little More in Tribeca offers an Entire Back Area Upstairs for up to 65 guests or the full Upstairs and Bar for 150, meaning you can right-size the space depending on your budget and vibe. Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg gives you the Velvet Room for 60 or the Full Venue for 110, so your 75-person party can fill the space comfortably. If you want a single purpose-built room, BarDough on Restaurant Row offers an Entire Venue section listed at exactly 75 guests, making logistics simple and the atmosphere instantly warm.

Understanding Minimums and Budgeting Realistically

Minimum spends across this collection range widely, from as low as $84 at BarDough to $3,500 at The Ten Bells, so align your venue shortlist with your overall budget before falling in love with a space. Resobox in the East Village has a minimum spend of just $250 and a BYO-friendly policy, making it one of the most affordable options if you want to bring your own catering and keep costs predictable. On the elevated end, Apotheke Chinatown carries a $3,334 minimum but delivers a genuinely unforgettable cocktail experience with mixologists working from over 250 house-designed recipes. Members Only West Village and The Rose in Chelsea both have minimums as low as $100, which is rare for full venue buyouts in Manhattan. Always confirm whether the minimum spend applies to food and beverage only or includes service charges, as this can significantly affect your real total.

Timing and Booking Lead Time in 2026

For a Saturday night event with 75 guests, plan to secure your venue at least six to eight weeks in advance, especially at high-demand spots like Apotheke Chinatown or Jupiter Disco in Bushwick, which requires a $2,000 minimum and books up quickly for full venue buyouts. Midweek events at venues like Everything's Jake near Union Square or Lot 15 inside the Kixby Hotel in Midtown often come with more flexible availability and potentially more attentive service from staff. If your event is tied to a holiday window, venues like Little More and Skinos in FiDi both list holiday parties as a specific use case, so inquire early as those dates fill fast. Hudson Yards Hotel's Atrium and Sun Deck is a strong daytime option for groups wanting natural light, but that singular section holds exactly 75 guests, so there is no buffer if your headcount grows. Always ask about cancellation and rescheduling policies when you book, as these vary significantly between independent venues and hotel-based spaces.

Questions to Ask Every Venue Before You Sign

Start by asking whether your 75 guests are being accommodated in a fully private section or a semi-private one, as the difference dramatically affects the energy and exclusivity of your event. At a venue like Kind Regards on the Lower East Side, the Upstairs Lounge is listed as semi-private with a capacity of 100, so you will want to confirm exactly how your space is separated from other guests. Ask about AV capabilities upfront, since Velvet Brooklyn includes a Pioneer DDJ-SZ2 DJ controller, a 20-inch disco ball, and a projector, while a space like Resobox charges an extra fee for projector rental. Confirm whether the venue has a fully equipped kitchen or expects you to bring in outside catering, as Resobox and RESOBOX explicitly welcome outside catering while spots like Third Falcon in Fort Greene have a fully equipped kitchen and a focused French menu. Finally, ask about noise and timing restrictions, particularly for venues with outdoor sections like the Secret Garden at Saint in the East Village or the Sun Deck at Hudson Yards Hotel.

Neighborhood-Specific Tips for Your NYC Event

If your guests are spread across Manhattan, Union Square and Midtown venues like Everything's Jake and Lot 15 offer unbeatable transit access, with Everything's Jake sitting one block from the L, N, Q, R, W, 4, 5, and 6 trains at 14th Street. For a downtown event with serious atmosphere, Tribeca and FiDi venues like Little More and Skinos are best on a Friday or Saturday when the neighborhood transitions from financial district workday to nightlife energy. Brooklyn venues like Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg, Third Falcon in Fort Greene, and Jupiter Disco in Bushwick each serve a distinctly different crowd and vibe, so match the borough pick to your guest list and their willingness to travel. Silence Please on the Bowery sits at the crossroads of Nolita, Little Italy, and the Lower East Side, making it ideal if your group wants to extend the night into surrounding bars and restaurants after your event. Chinatown is an underrated destination for private events, and Apotheke on Doyers Street offers a genuinely cinematic setting that guests will talk about long after 2026.

Insider Picks for Standout Experiences at 75 Guests

For sheer visual drama, Little More in Tribeca is hard to beat, with its 45-foot marble bar, 16-foot library of spirits, and custom serpent murals creating an atmosphere that does the decorating for you. If you want your guests to feel like they discovered something secret, the Speakeasy section at Saint in the East Village holds up to 100 guests and pairs perfectly with the venue's updated French brasserie menu and craft cocktails. BarChef New York in Midtown is a genuinely unique option for a cocktail-forward crowd, offering Modernist cocktail programs using advanced culinary techniques with Empire State Building views included in a full venue buyout for up to 125 guests. For a Williamsburg celebration that keeps energy high all night, Velvet Brooklyn's Full Venue booking gets you exposed brick, vintage chandeliers, a disco ball, and a pro DJ controller already on site. And if your group values intimacy and music above all else, Silence Please on the Bowery offers a one-of-a-kind high-fidelity listening lounge experience that transforms a private party into something closer to a curated cultural event.

Beautiful venue with some of the best cocktails I ever tried. I went to two events at this venue when it just opened in November and I will be back

Jupiter Disco is one of my favorites dance spaces in New York!! It’s my go to spot in bushwick. Along with a steady dose of incredible DJs, the intimate atmosphere makes in feel extremely personal, which I love. The new lighting system is incredible !! and they also serve some of the best cocktails around (my favorites are the Dead Ringer and A.M. Radio). Another awesome part of Jupiter Disco are their community-oriented, which featuring things like movie screenings and even a chess night. Check this place out when you can. Highly recommended, love!!
