About Venues for 75 Guests

Seventy-five guests is one of the most rewarding group sizes to plan for in New York City. You have enough people to fill a room with real energy, but not so many that the night loses its personal feel. This collection brings together twenty of the best venues across Manhattan and Brooklyn that hit that sweet spot between intimate and grand, each offering flexible spaces that let your event breathe and flow naturally. Whether you are planning a milestone birthday, a corporate celebration, or a holiday party heading into 2026, these rooms are built for exactly this kind of crowd. From Tribeca to Williamsburg, the neighborhoods represented here are some of the most vibrant in the city, and the venues match that energy at every turn. Little More on Reade Street in Tribeca can seat your group in its Entire Back Area Upstairs for up to 65 guests or expand into the full upstairs and bar for up to 150, giving you room to grow the night. In the Financial District, Skinos on Washington Street transports guests to a Greek oasis complete with cherry blossom installations and a koi fish pond, with semi-private and private sections that accommodate groups well beyond 75. Over in Williamsburg, Velvet Brooklyn on Broadway offers its Full Venue for up to 110 guests, with a disco ball, Pro DJ Controller, and exposed brick that make it a natural fit for a crowd ready to celebrate. The East Village brings Saint into the mix, where the Secret Garden fits up to 80 guests in an ivy-draped outdoor setting strung with lights, and Members Only West Village rounds out the collection with its full venue accommodating up to 110 in an atmosphere that blends sophistication with a downtown rebellious edge. Every venue here offers something distinct, and together they give you real options no matter your vibe, budget, or borough. The best part about planning for 75 is that you are almost guaranteed to find a private or semi-private space that feels tailor-made for your group without having to buy out an entire venue, which keeps minimum spends manageable and gives your guests a sense of exclusivity without the full-venue price tag.

Expert Tip

For a group of 75, always ask about semi-private sections before committing to a full buyout. At Little More in Tribeca, for example, the Entire Upstairs And Bar accommodates up to 150 guests and can be booked with a minimum spend starting at just $500, meaning your group of 75 fills the space comfortably while keeping costs in check. Booking a section slightly larger than your headcount is a classic insider move that gives guests room to move, keeps the energy lively, and avoids that cramped feeling that can kill a party early in the night.

Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg is a natural fit for 75 guests, sitting comfortably between the Velvet Room's 60-person capacity and the full venue's 110-person capacity, meaning your group gets a lively, danceable atmosphere with exposed brick, a disco ball, and a Pioneer DDJ-SZ2 DJ controller ready to go.

Venue Selection Guide

Your Complete 2026 Planning Guide for NYC Venues for 75 Guests

Choosing the Right Space for Your 75-Person Event

Seventy-five guests is a sweet spot that fills a room with genuine energy without overwhelming it, so the key is finding a venue where that headcount feels intentional rather than crammed. Look for spaces with defined sections you can activate fully, like the Secret Garden at Saint in the East Village which holds 80 guests privately, or the Velvet Room at Velvet Brooklyn which holds 60 and can be paired with the Main Bar for a natural flow. Loulou in Chelsea offers a Speakeasy that holds up to 80 standing, giving your group a sense of discovery and intimacy at the same time. Highwater Rooftop in FiDi has a Private Section for up to 140 guests, meaning your 75 will have room to breathe while still commanding the dramatic 25-story skyline views. Consider whether you want a single-room buyout or a multi-space venue where guests can drift between areas, as both approaches work beautifully at this size.

Understanding Your Budget and Minimum Spends

Minimum spends across this collection range widely, from as low as $125 at Velvet Brooklyn and Boss Tweeds to $8,000 for a full buyout at Loulou, so it is important to clarify upfront exactly which space or section the minimum applies to. For a group of 75, venues like Pubkey in Greenwich Village with a $125 minimum on the Attic space offer an extremely approachable entry point, while Little More in Tribeca starts at $500 with no minimum spend requirement noted for its sections, making it flexible for a variety of budgets. Mid-range options like Highwater Rooftop and Hudson Yards Hotel both sit at a $750 minimum, which is very reasonable when split across 75 guests. Always ask whether the minimum spend covers food and beverage combined or beverage only, as that distinction significantly changes your per-person planning math. Venues like Festivál Café on the Upper East Side explicitly note that food and beverage minimums apply to buyouts, which is a good model to ask about everywhere.

Timing Your Event for Maximum Impact

For a group of 75, weeknight events often unlock better availability and more attentive service than Saturday nights, when most of these venues are at peak demand. If you are eyeing an outdoor or semi-outdoor element, note that Loulou's Cabanas are only available April 15th through November 15th, so plan accordingly if that alfresco Parisian vibe is on your wish list. Rooftop venues like Highwater Rooftop in FiDi and The Lookup in Midtown are best booked for the warmer months in 2026 if you want guests to spend meaningful time outside rather than retreating indoors. Venues like Jupiter Disco in Bushwick and Kind Regards on the Lower East Side are built for late nights, so if your crowd skews toward dancing and cocktails over a seated dinner, starting later in the evening plays to their strengths. Corporate events and daytime celebrations have a natural home at spaces like Atmosfera in Astoria, which is designed with natural light and a minimalist aesthetic that works well for afternoon gatherings.

Key Questions to Ask Every Venue Before Booking

Always confirm whether the section you are booking is fully private or semi-private, since several venues in this collection offer both configurations and the distinction matters enormously for atmosphere and noise control. Ask specifically about what audio and visual equipment is included, as venues like Velvet Brooklyn include a Pro DJ Controller and projector while others may charge separately or require you to bring your own setup. Inquire whether outside catering or a preferred caterer list applies, especially at raw or rental-focused spaces like Loft Story in Greenpoint and Atmosfera in Astoria where catering flexibility is highlighted as a feature. For restaurant venues like Third Falcon in Fort Greene or Mino Brasserie in the West Village, ask whether you are getting a full buyout or a reserved section, as both venues have full venue capacities at or near 75 guests, making a complete buyout very achievable. Finally, always ask about a dedicated event contact or on-site coordinator, as venues like Loft Story explicitly include an on-site coordinator in their offering, which can be the difference between a smooth night and a stressful one.

Neighborhood Insider Tips

Tribeca is an excellent anchor for corporate and upscale social events, with Little More on Reade Street and Boss Tweeds on Murray Street sitting within walking distance of each other and the Chambers Street subway hub serving the 1, 2, 3, A, and C lines. Downtown Brooklyn and Greenpoint are thriving in 2026 for creative and celebration-focused events, with Loft Story on Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint offering a rooftop, main loft, and speakeasy you can rent individually or together, all just two minutes from the G train. If your guests are spread across the city, Midtown venues like Nebula on West 41st Street and Hudson Yards Hotel benefit from being steps from Times Square and the 42nd Street transit hub, making arrival effortless for 75 people coming from different boroughs. The West Village and Chelsea corridor is ideal for dinner-forward events with a romantic or boutique feel, with Mino Brasserie on Greenwich Avenue, Members Only West Village, and Loulou on 8th Avenue all within a short walk of each other and the A, C, E, and L trains at 14th Street. For guests who appreciate a more local and neighborhood-rooted experience, Fort Greene's Third Falcon and Bushwick's Jupiter Disco offer authentic Brooklyn character that feels distinctly unlike a generic event space.

Insider Recommendations by Event Type

For a milestone birthday where atmosphere is everything, the combination of Nebula's L8 space for 80 guests in Midtown or the full Velvet Brooklyn buyout in Williamsburg will give your group an immersive, party-ready experience with serious sound and lighting infrastructure already in place. For a corporate dinner or client entertainment event, Skinos in FiDi with its stunning koi pond and cherry blossom decor creates a transportive impression, while Highwater Rooftop just down the street adds skyline drama that reliably impresses out-of-town clients. If you want a dinner-first, dancing-second flow, Saint in the East Village is a rare find with a Secret Garden that holds 80 privately and a Speakeasy downstairs for after-dinner mingling, letting your event evolve naturally across two completely different moods. For a celebration that leans into a unique NYC story, PubKey in Greenwich Village brings a one-of-a-kind Bitcoin bar concept with the Attic holding up to 85 guests just steps from Washington Square Park. And for hosts who want something quietly elegant and genuinely French, both Le Petit Village in the West Village and Third Falcon in Fort Greene offer that rare combination of serious culinary pedigree and intimate warmth that makes 75 guests feel like a cherished private gathering rather than a large event.

Frequently Asked Questions About Venues for 75 Guests

What is the typical minimum spend range for a 75-person event across these venues?
Minimum spends vary widely across this collection, from as low as $125 at Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg or Boss Tweeds in Tribeca, up to $8,000 for a full venue buyout at Loulou in Chelsea. Most venues in the mid-range, like Little More in Tribeca ($500), Highwater Rooftop in FiDi ($500), and The Hudson Yards Hotel atrium ($750), offer accessible entry points for a group of 75. When budgeting, keep in mind that the minimum spend covers food and beverage rather than a flat rental fee at most of these spots, so a lively group of 75 will often meet the minimum naturally through the bar alone.
Which venues offer a truly private, buyout-style experience for exactly 75 guests?
Several venues in this collection are sized almost perfectly for a 75-person buyout. Le Petit Village in Greenwich Village accommodates up to 75 guests on its main floor, Loft Story in Greenpoint offers a seated capacity of 75 with a dance floor included, and the Hudson Yards Hotel Atrium is listed with a maximum capacity of exactly 75 for its private Atrium and Sun Deck section. Third Falcon in Fort Greene fits 70 guests for a full venue buyout, making it a strong runner-up if you want an intimate, full-restaurant feel in Brooklyn.

Yes, a few venues offer compelling outdoor elements for this group size. Highwater Rooftop in FiDi sits 25 stories above the city at 120 Water Street and has a private section accommodating up to 140 guests, giving your group of 75 room to breathe with panoramic skyline views. Loft Story in Greenpoint features a rooftop terrace with views of the Empire State Building and Freedom Tower, holding up to 80 guests. The Lookup in Midtown is another rooftop option with skyline views, and its lounge section fits up to 120 guests, so 75 will feel vibrant without being cramped.
Which neighborhoods have the most venue options in this collection, and what is the vibe difference between them?
Lower Manhattan, including Tribeca and FiDi, has a strong cluster of options like Little More, Boss Tweeds, and Highwater Rooftop, which tend toward upscale, polished atmospheres with strong cocktail programs and corporate-friendly setups. Brooklyn venues like Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg, Loft Story in Greenpoint, Jupiter Disco in Bushwick, and Third Falcon in Fort Greene skew more creative, relaxed, and neighborhood-driven, often with lower minimums. If your group is coming from all over the city, Manhattan venues near major subway hubs like Little More (accessible from the 1/2/3 and A/C at Chambers St) or Nebula in Midtown near Times Square offer the easiest transit access.
Which venues in this collection are best suited for a 75-person party that also needs a dance floor or DJ setup?

Kind Regards on the Lower East Side, in the historic former Cake Shop space, also features a dance floor and is open late.
Are there any venues in this collection with unique or themed concepts that would make a 75-person party more memorable?
Absolutely. Little More in Tribeca features a 45-foot marble bar beneath a 16-foot-high library of spirits, custom dark serpent murals, and a botanical wall inspired by the Garden of Eden, all within a venue that held up to 200. Skinos in FiDi transports guests to a Grecian oasis complete with cherry blossom installations and a koi fish pond. Loft Story in Greenpoint offers 3D projection mapping on its walls, meaning your event visuals can be fully customized and even motion-responsive. For something more underground, Loulou in Chelsea hides its speakeasy behind a vintage vending machine door, and PubKey in Greenwich Village, just steps from Washington Square Park, is NYC's only Bitcoin bar with a private back room called The Attic.
What should I look for when choosing between a semi-private section and a full buyout for 75 guests at these venues?
At a venue like Nebula in Midtown, the L8 at Nebula section holds 80 guests, making it a near-perfect semi-private fit that keeps costs lower than buying out the entire 500-person club. At Boss Tweeds in Tribeca, Lady Tweeds on the second floor holds 65 guests privately, while the ground floor fits 125, so you can choose your level of exclusivity based on budget. If your priority is full privacy and a dedicated experience, venues like Velvet Brooklyn, Third Falcon, or Mino Brasserie in the West Village all offer full venue buyouts sized closely to 75 guests, meaning you are not paying for far more space than you need. Always confirm with the venue whether the listed minimum spend applies to the section or the full buyout, as this varies by property.

Beautiful venue with some of the best cocktails I ever tried. I went to two events at this venue when it just opened in November and I will be back

Jupiter Disco is one of my favorites dance spaces in New York!! It’s my go to spot in bushwick. Along with a steady dose of incredible DJs, the intimate atmosphere makes in feel extremely personal, which I love. The new lighting system is incredible !! and they also serve some of the best cocktails around (my favorites are the Dead Ringer and A.M. Radio). Another awesome part of Jupiter Disco are their community-oriented, which featuring things like movie screenings and even a chess night. Check this place out when you can. Highly recommended, love!!
