Happy hour in NYC works best when the venue does half the planning for you, and these two spots make after-work gatherings genuinely easy in 2026. In the West Village and Greenwich Village, Le Petit Village brings Provençal charm to your post-office wind-down, with a full bar, classic cocktails, and a curated wine list in a space designed for lingering conversation rather than shouting over a crowd. The room holds up to 75 guests on the main floor, while the second floor mezzanine offers a private nook for 30, ideal when your team wants to actually talk between rounds.
For bigger crews or a rooftop moment, Arlo Midtown covers the Midtown West and Times Square corridor with craft cocktails and serious flexibility. The ART Rooftop, Terrace, and Bar Room each hold up to 150 guests privately, so a casual Thursday happy hour can scale into a full company party without changing venues. Smaller groups can grab the Studios for up to 50 or the Atrium Boardroom and Lounge for 12, and with a minimum spend starting at just $75, it is one of the more accessible group bookings in the neighborhood.
Between them, this collection covers the two classic happy hour moods: the intimate, wine-and-conversation dinner that stretches past sunset at Le Petit Village, and the rooftop-with-city-views energy of Arlo Midtown. Both take large reservations and both are built for groups, so whether you are hosting a client mixer, a team celebration, or a casual social, the logistics stay simple and the drinks stay good.
Tucked away in Greenwich Village, this cozy French bistro is built for lingering conversation, making it a natural pick for after-work groups who want great cocktails and a well appointed bar without shouting over the crowd. With a 30-person private mezzanine and a main floor holding up to 75, it flexes easily from an intimate happy hour to a full team gathering in 2026.
Sitting at the crossroads of Midtown West, Chelsea, and Times Square, Arlo Midtown makes the post-office meetup easy for coworkers coming from all directions, with craft cocktails, lounge seating, and a full bar to keep the group flowing. The ART Rooftop and Bar Room each hold up to 150, so even a big 2026 company happy hour has room to spread out and actually talk.

Venue selection guide
The two venues in this collection cover very different happy hour moods, so start by deciding what your group actually wants. Le Petit Village in Greenwich Village offers an intimate, Provencal-inspired bistro setting where conversation is the whole point, with warm tones and a dining room designed for lingering. Arlo Midtown leans social and scenic, with the ART Rooftop, a Terrace, and a Bar Room that each hold up to 150 guests, plus craft cocktails and city views. If your team wants to talk over drinks, go French and cozy; if you want energy, a rooftop, and room to mingle, head to Midtown.
Capacity is the first thing that will make or break your happy hour plan. Le Petit Village hosts intimate to mid-sized events, with a private Second Floor Mezzanine for 30 and a Main Floor that fits up to 75, so it works best for smaller teams or a full buyout. Arlo Midtown scales up considerably, with the Terrace, Bar Room, and ART Rooftop each accommodating 150, Studios for 50, and an Atrium Boardroom and Lounge for just 12. That range means Arlo can handle everything from a small leadership group to a full company party in 2026.
Arlo Midtown lists a minimum spend starting at 75 dollars, so ask how minimums scale by section, day of week, and time slot before you commit. Le Petit Village does not publish a minimum, so confirm whether your group needs semi-private dining, the private mezzanine, or a full buyout, since pricing typically follows the level of exclusivity. At either venue, ask whether happy hour packages can be built around a set drink list, since Le Petit Village offers a curated wine list and traditional cocktails while Arlo emphasizes mixology and craft cocktails. Getting drink structure sorted in advance keeps the tab predictable when 40 coworkers show up thirsty.
Arlo Midtown sits in the Midtown West and Times Square area, also touching Chelsea and the Garment District, which makes it a natural pick when your office is in the Midtown corridor and people are arriving straight from work. Le Petit Village is tucked into Greenwich Village and the West Village, a quieter pocket that feels transportive and removed from the city's constant motion. Think about where your group is coming from at 5 or 6 pm and choose the venue that minimizes friction. A Midtown crowd will appreciate Arlo's central location, while a downtown team or a group that wants a destination-feel evening will love the Village setting.
Both venues offer outdoor areas, which is a huge draw for warm-weather happy hours in 2026 but requires a backup conversation. At Arlo Midtown, ask whether your booking on the ART Rooftop or Terrace includes access to the indoor Bar Room if the weather turns. Le Petit Village also lists an outdoor area alongside its intimate interior, so confirm how the space flexes between the two. Locking in a rain plan when you sign, not the week of, is the single best insurance policy for an outdoor event.
If your happy hour has a work component, Arlo Midtown is well equipped, with wifi, flatscreen TVs, a whiteboard, and a DJ option, plus that small Atrium Boardroom and Lounge for 12 if a breakout meeting precedes the drinks. Le Petit Village shines for client dinners and celebratory gatherings where the event transitions from cocktails into a seated meal, with polished, discreet service and a seasonal menu. Ask both venues about customizable menus and zero-proof options where offered, since Le Petit Village lists zero-proof among its attributes and inclusive drink lists matter for company events. Finally, book early for spring and summer 2026, especially for rooftop and outdoor spaces, which fill up fast in NYC.
Arlo Midtown is built for larger crews, with private spaces like the ART Rooftop, Terrace, and Bar Room each holding up to 150 guests. If your group is more intimate, Le Petit Village in Greenwich Village hosts up to 75 on its Main Floor, with a private Second Floor Mezzanine for 30. Both venues are marked as happy hour friendly, so you can match the space to your headcount.
Arlo Midtown lists a minimum spend starting at $75, which is a useful baseline when budgeting for an after-work gathering. Le Petit Village does not list a minimum spend in its details, so it is worth confirming when you inquire. Either way, knowing your group size upfront helps you pick the right section and keep costs predictable.
Arlo Midtown sits in the Midtown and Times Square area, also touching Chelsea and the Garment District, which makes it a natural pick for teams based in central Manhattan. Le Petit Village is in Greenwich Village and the West Village, better suited if your group is downtown or wants a quieter, more tucked-away vibe after work. Choose based on where most of your group will be coming from at the end of the day.
Arlo Midtown offers several fully private sections, including the ART Rooftop, Terrace, Bar Room, Studios for up to 50, and an Atrium Boardroom and Lounge for 12. At Le Petit Village, the Second Floor Mezzanine is a private space for up to 30 guests, while the Main Floor for 75 is non-private unless arranged as a buyout. If privacy matters for your team, ask about semi-private group dining or a full restaurant buyout at Le Petit Village.
Le Petit Village is designed for lingering conversation, with a cozy Provencal-inspired dining room, warm tones, and an unhurried pace that favors connection over spectacle. It is described as a quiet space, making it a strong pick for client dinners or smaller team gatherings where people want to hear each other. Arlo Midtown leans more energetic, with rooftop and lounge seating options that suit livelier social mixers.
Le Petit Village pairs classic French bistro cuisine with a curated wine list, traditional cocktails, and even zero-proof options for guests who are not drinking. Arlo Midtown features a full bar with craft cocktails and mixology, plus a rooftop setting with city views. Both are tagged for great cocktails, so drink quality holds up for a group outing.
Arlo Midtown is the standout for open-air gatherings, with a private Terrace and the ART Rooftop, both holding up to 150 guests with city views. Le Petit Village also lists an outdoor area among its features, though its strength is the intimate indoor dining room. For a warm-weather 2026 team event, the Arlo rooftop is the natural first call.
