About The Alderman

The Alderman is an upscale, tavern-inspired restaurant and cocktail lounge at 150A West 48th Street in Times Square, located inside the Motto by Hilton and operated by Renwick Hospitality Group. The interior features custom walnut millwork and curved banquette seating, giving the space a warm, golden-age New York feel with a lively, modern energy. The menu centers on elevated classic American tavern fare, including a raw bar with fresh oysters, smash burgers, and roasted duck, alongside a beverage program of crafted cocktails and a curated wine list. The restaurant also runs breakfast, pre-theater, and late-night menus as part of daily operations, and offers a daily happy hour from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. For events, the space works two ways: semi-private reserved sections of the main dining room for mid-sized groups of up to about 50 guests, or a full venue buyout with exclusive access to both the dining room and bar area for roughly 80 to 100 guests. The culinary team offers flexible menus tailored for private dining and receptions, making it a practical fit for client dinners, corporate receptions, holiday parties, and social celebrations in Midtown.
