One of my new favorite spots in Manhattan. If you’re reading this, stop by and you won’t regret it. The food is delicious, atmosphere is comfortable, and above all, the service is tremendous. I’ve come twice (the first time the kitchen closed early) and each time the staff members went above and beyond to make sure I was well treated while in the establishment. I’m originally from the Chicago, so my standards for kind/friendly people is high. Whoever trained this staff and whoever employs them is doing a fantastic job. Amidst busy work days, hot weather, large crowds - I’ve found a gem in Backstage Tavern. I’ll be recommending this place for all corporate events my company hosts and will be bringing family/friends here.

Delicious food and atmosphere. Truly a beautiful space on restaurant row. Definitely check out the roof top. Vibes and drinks are amazing and food doesn't disappoint at all. I definitely recommend the deviled eggs, nachos, and Korean fried chicken sandwich.

I visited Backstage Tavern after wandering down 46th street looking for somewhere to eat before seeing a gig at Blue Note in the evening. I would highly recommend it - nestled away and quiet for a Saturday night, a great place to escape for some food and a drink. I had the Korean chicken sandwich and it was great - as you’d expect in NY, great portions. Very friendly service and a wind range of beers on offer. Plenty of TVs for watching whatever sport is on when you’re visiting. I’d definitely recommend this for a drink and/or food before a show or gig near Times Square.

Definitely a lot of competition on restaurant row, but Backstage Tavern really holds its own. I was looking for a change up from my normal go-to bar down the street—I will 100% be coming back. Love the rooftop bar area, such a nice summer venue and absolutely beats sitting on the street/sidewalk like most of the other places. Waiter was very attentive and had a great personality. Got the Local 1 Burger, cooked exactly medium and onion rings on the burger is such a good move. Tacos looked unreal too (next time).
