The entire venue can accommodate up to 110 guests, our Velvet Room up to 60 guests, and our Main Bar up to 50 guests.
The interior includes two spacious bar areas, comfortable seating throughout the venue, allowing guests to mingle comfortably. Incredible from start to finish. My husband and I just had our joint 50th birthdays here. It was the party I had been dreaming about! First of all, Phil is an absolute pleasure to work with. He responded right away with any questions and did everything possible to make sure everything went smoothly. The space was the perfect size and vibe for our group of 60. There were spots for people to take a seat and catch up and of course plenty of room to dance. The DJ that Phil recommended (Phillip Charles) and the photographer (Ron Gejon) were both 5 stars. They are both so talented. Phil brought the energy and Ron captured it. All of my friends have told me what a great time they had. The dancing and smiling pictures prove it. Thank you Phil and Velvet!

Great place for good jams and vibes. Been here for both jazz events and parties and can’t complain, this place is a vibe and sounds very good. Food is on the small-bite side so if you’re hungry, don’t recommend this spot. If you want drinks and vibes in a very beautifully decorated, prohibition style-esque environment, this joint is for you.

Velvet Brooklyn hosted my birthday party in November and it was above and beyond expectation. We were in the Velvet Lounge in the back. Firstly, the manager - Phil, responded to me within minutes of my initial inquiry which made my venue search much less burdensome. I went to check out the place and everything looked pretty good from the lounge seats to the lighting to the separate bar and bathroom for the back lounge, to the DJ equipment and sound system (to bring in your own DJ). It is a grown and sexy vibe and the velvet accents are a nice touch. You will not have to worry much about decor here - which saves time, money and mental energy. I checked it out a few more times before the event and it felt like the venue was getting better and better every time. I hosted 45 people comfortably in the back. The bar staff was great and helpful. The food options like the wings are great. And the pricing for such a venue in the heart of Williamsburg was great. And I was able to apply a high level of creative direction in how the party looked and felt - very customized. 10/10 recommend! Much obliged, VB team.
